Shipping your Bengal kitten may sound like a challenging task when you cannot pick your kitten up in person. You may have many questions regarding the shipping process, how your kitten will be transported, and if they will be safe during the journey. These concerns are entirely natural.
Our objective is to make the shipping and delivery process as stress-free and straightforward as possible for you and your kitten.
We ship Bengal kittens to homes throughout Texas, the rest of the United States, and even into a few of our neighboring countries. Each kitten shipment is evaluated individually, considering factors such as the kitten’s age, health, the distance that the kitten must travel, the weather while the kitten is en route, how the kitten will be transported, and any other special requirements for the shipment of that kitten.
Bengal Kitten Delivery Options
We provide a number of delivery options for your Bengal kitten. Depending upon your location and the needs of your kitten, we can arrange for the following forms of delivery:
The method of delivery that we choose for your kitten will be based upon their location, the weather forecast for their journey, the policies of the airline that will be transporting the kitten, the duration of the flight, and the kitten’s individual needs.
Before the completion of the delivery, we will provide you with information regarding all delivery options, dates, costs, and any requirements that you will need to meet at the time of the kitten’s delivery to your home.
No kitten leaves Wildmark Whisks unless they are healthy and ready for their journey.
Prior to each shipment, we will review the health and development of your kitten. This will include a review of the kitten’s eating habits, activity level, weight, and their veterinary records.
For young kittens, additional reviews of their veterinary appointments, vaccinations, health certificates, and their microchip information will be conducted.
Any kitten that shows signs of illness or is not ready for their shipment will have their delivery delayed until they have recovered from any illness. The health of your Bengal kitten will always remain our priority.
Regardless of whether your kitten will be transported via ground transportation, flight nanny, or any other method, we only work with those who have experience with caring for kittens during their transportation.
Each transportation service that we use for your Bengal kitten will provide your kitten with the following:
- A secure kitten carrier
- Soft bedding and a blanket with the scent of their home
- Proper ventilation for the carrier
- Identification tags for your kitten
- Food and water for your kitten
- Instructions for those who will be transporting your kitten
The transportation services will plan the routes for your kitten to minimize the amount of time that they spend en route to your home.
Weather and Travel Conditions
We are aware that the weather can have an impact upon the safety of your kitten while in transit.
Before each shipment of your Bengal kitten, we will review the weather conditions at your location, along the route that your kitten will be transported, and at the location of your kitten’s delivery.
If the weather is not suitable for your kitten to be transported, we will delay their shipment.
While we understand that this may cause frustration, the safety of your Bengal kitten will always be our priority.
Communication During Your Kitten’s Delivery
While your kitten will be shipped to you, you will never be left in the dark regarding their journey.
Prior to their shipment, we will provide you with all of the details regarding their shipment, including the transportation company, the dates of their shipment and delivery, the route that they will be taking, any documentation that will be shipped with your kitten, and instructions for their care during their journey home.
If the transportation company allows it, we will also provide you with updates during their shipment.
We do ask that you remain available to receive your kitten at the time of their delivery to your home.
While we work to ensure that there are no delays in their shipment, if any do occur, we will provide you with updates regarding their shipment.
Preparing Your Home for a Bengal Kitten
The environment into which your kitten will arrive can have a significant impact upon how well they adjust to their new home.
Prior to your Bengal kitten’s arrival, ensure that the following are present in their new home:
For the first few hours of their arrival, keep their environment calm and quiet.
Allow your kitten to explore their new home, but limit their interaction with other animals and visitors to their home.
Every kitten will adjust to their new home at their own rate. Some kittens will feel at home within a few hours, while others will need a few days.
International Bengal Kitten Delivery
We do ship to some of our neighboring countries, but these shipments will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Some of the requirements for the shipment of a Bengal kitten to another country may include:
- An import permit for that country
- A health certificate for your kitten
- Records of your kitten’s vaccinations
- Their microchip information
- Customs documentation
- An inspection of the kitten prior to shipment
- An approved carrier to transport your kitten to their new country
The kitten’s owner will be responsible for ensuring that the shipment of the kitten to their new home meets the requirements of that country.
We will not approve any shipment of a Bengal kitten that does not have a verified and safe route to their home.
